…made out of dates… and pecans… in a blender. This isn’t anything new. Hence the title The Basic Brownie. You find recipes like this all over the internet from health bloggers, vegan foodies, etc etc.
I wanted to share how to make these with my family that don’t know what dates are and read my posts. Hi mom!
Just kidding, my mom doesn’t read my blog. There’s goji berries, pumpkin seeds, chocolate chips, and coconut because I’m super adventurous like that.
But really I just threw in a bunch of things I found in the house.
So March Break is over…
Sadly, I only left the house once…
…to go grocery shopping with my mom. I mean, I didn’t really mind staying at home all day (no… I did… a lot… I was actually very sad), but atleast I know I’m ready for my history test (which the teacher decided to postpone to next week). I still really appreciate the semi-relaxation I had for the week, but I was actually really happy going back to school today.Anyways! I made cereal squares!
I actually messed up a few times trying to figure out the right amount of nut butter needed for them to stick…But all went well in the end. My little brother loves them, and he’s the pickiest eater ever! He rated them higher than the egg tarts and garlic bread he has everyday. Even my mom liked them! Do you know how much of an accomplishment that is for me?!Continue reading →
March break really isn’t a break…
It’s just a week of doing homework.
I actually didn’t get a lot of homework, but I wanted to study for all my subjects.
The past three days were just spent writing an English essay and studying History. I badly wanted to go outside and walk my dog, or just go to the mall because the weather is getting so much warmer. It’s like two degrees celsius *gasp*.
This incredibly warm weather has led me to just having fresh fruit for breakfast, but then we ran out.
So now we’re left with a handful of blueberries and a banana.
My favourite part of the holiday break is that I have enough time in the mornings to prepare warm and sweet and beautiful breakfasts.
Baked oatmeal is pretty time consuming in my opinion (mostly just the baking time), so they’re usually reserved for weekends.
But the past few days were just baked oatmeal back to back to back.
They’re just so good.
